Business support · included in every partnership

Every owner needs someone to think with.

Business Support is part of every Wonder Works partnership, not a service we sell separately, but the reason partnerships work. It's a sounding board with operator experience: someone to call before the big decisions, help with budgeting, forecasting and reading your P&L, planning that gets priorities straight, and the practical builds that turn decisions into things (proposals, pricing sheets, hiring documents). We're not a consultancy. We're the experienced person in your corner, with spreadsheets.

The eleven-o'clock problem

Who do you call before the big decisions?

Big companies have boards, finance directors and advisers for this. Small business owners have a spouse who's heard enough about it, a mate who says "sounds great," and a decision that won't wait. Should you take the second site? Raise prices? Hire the manager or the chef first? Sign that lease? These moments decide whether a business thrives, and most owners face them completely alone at eleven o'clock at night. Our partners don't.

A Tuesday, 21:47

The landlord next door offered me the unit. Double the space. I've got until Friday.

21:47

Exciting. Before you feel anything, send me last quarter's P&L and this month's bookings. Give me an hour.

21:49

OK. At your current GP you'd need 34% more covers just to stand still. Doable, but not with the current menu. Call tomorrow at 9? Bring coffee.

22:53

Illustrative, but this is genuinely what it looks like.

The scope

What it looks like.

01

The thinking

A sounding board that's run businesses. Ideas, brainstorming, new revenue streams, pricing decisions, thought through out loud with someone who has no reason to just agree with you.

02

The numbers

Budgets built, forecasts made, your P&L created or rebuilt and read together monthly until you can read it in your sleep. Break-even you actually know. (Not bookkeeping. Not tax. See below.)

03

The planning

Yearly and quarterly plans, launch plans, and the discipline of priorities: what matters next quarter, what can wait, what should never happen.

04

The practical builds

Proposals, pricing sheets, presentations, job ads and hiring structure, tool and system comparisons, supplier research. The stuff you'd do “when you get a minute”, done.

Straight talk

What we're not.

We're not accountants, your accountant files your taxes; we make sure you understand the numbers they file. We're not lawyers. And we're not a strategy consultancy, no 200-page decks, no junior analysts, no invoice that needs its own financing. When you need a specialist, we'll be the first to tell you, and we'll help you brief them properly. Honesty about our edges is why the rest is worth listening to.

Why bundled

Why can't I just buy this on its own?

Because context is the product. The reason we're useful in twenty minutes flat is that we already run your marketing, know your margins, your menu, your team and your ambitions. Advice without context is just opinions, and the world has enough of those. Business Support is built into every partnership because that's where it actually works.

Straight answers

The things people ask us first.

Is business support included in every partnership?

Yes. Marketing Partnership and F&B Partnership clients all get it, it's part of how we work, not an upsell.

Can I buy business support without a partnership?

No, and it's not gatekeeping, it's honesty. Without knowing your business the way a partnership lets us, we'd be guessing like everyone else. The value is the context.

Is this business consulting?

No. Consultancies sell reports; we help you decide and then build the thing. No decks, no jargon, no junior team. If you need a formal consultancy, we'll say so.

Do you do bookkeeping or taxes?

No, that's your accountant, and you should have a good one. We build and read your P&L, budgets and forecasts with you so you walk into your accountant's office understanding every line.

How fast do you respond?

Like partners, not suppliers. Big decisions rarely book appointments, if it's urgent, we're on it; if it can wait for the weekly call, it waits.

Stop deciding alone.
