What exactly did we check in Burgas, and how?
On 29 September 2026 we took the 50 most reviewed businesses in Burgas from Google Maps, through DataForSEO's business listings: 20 restaurants, 15 hotels, and the top three in each of five local services (beauty salons, car repair, estate agents, furniture shops and dental clinics). National chains are left out. We don't publish the names.
For the 33 businesses with a website of their own we checked the home page: HTTPS, title, description, main heading, structured data, robots.txt and sitemap.xml. Then we asked ChatGPT in Bulgarian about restaurants, a hotel and a car repair shop in Burgas, once each.
ChatGPT named 9 of the 50, always through someone else's site: Tripadvisor for restaurants, Booking.com and visit.bg for hotels, oink.bg for car repair. It never cited a business's own website. That's why every website we build comes with the Google Business Profile claimed or checked, and the same name, address and phone on both.
"No website" means the Google profile links to none; a site may exist unlinked. The check covers home pages only.

Why does the season matter for a Burgas website?
Searches for „изработка на сайт бургас“ (website building Burgas) run at about 1,900 a month in Bulgaria and reach 2,400 to 4,400 a month in spring and summer (DataForSEO, Google searches in Bulgaria, October 2026). A website in Burgas is searched for most as the season comes round.
