How Much Does a Website Cost in 2026?
A website with Wonder Works costs €500, one price for a finished site: design and build, your domain and 12 months of hosting in your name, 12 months of support, and full SEO and AI search setup. Online shops are priced per project, and you see the price before we start.
That is our price as of October 2026. Below is exactly what it covers, what it doesn't, and how to weigh up any website quote yourself, whoever it comes from.
What does the €500 include?
Every website Wonder Works builds includes these six things, in the one price:
Custom design and build
A custom-coded site made around your business. No WordPress, no templates, no plugins to break.
Your domain, in your name
Registered in your name from day one, with the first 12 months included.
Hosting for 12 months
The first year of hosting is in the price, also in your name.

Support and minor changes for the first year. Tell us what you need and it's usually live the same week.
Full SEO and AI search setup
A unique title and description on every page, an XML sitemap, schema markup, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, your Google Business Profile claimed or checked, open access for AI crawlers, speed that passes Google's Core Web Vitals, and a first check at launch of what ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers say about your business.

What isn't included?
Three things sit outside the €500, and it's better to know them up front.
- Renewals after the first year. From month 13 you pay the hosting and the domain renewal straight to the provider, still in your name. There is no monthly fee to us for keeping the site online.
- Online shops and bigger builds. Online shops (headless Shopify), membership sites and builds with bookings or ordering are priced per project. We don't publish a price for them, and you see the exact price before we start.
- Monthly growth work. SEO and marketing after launch are separate services, only if you want them. Their prices are just below.

What drives the cost of any website?
If you're comparing quotes, six things explain the difference between website prices far better than the word "professional".
The number of pages. A five-page site and a fifty-page site are different jobs. Ask how many pages the price covers and what each extra page costs.
Words and photos. Someone has to write the copy and supply the photos. If that's you, the job is smaller. If it's the studio, ask whether it's included or charged on top.
Languages. A second language isn't a copy of the first. Ask whether it's included and who writes it.
Online payments and a shop. A basket, payments, delivery and stock turn a website into a shop, and a shop is a project of its own.
Connections to other systems. Bookings, ordering, accounting, a customer database. Each connection is extra work, and one more thing to keep running.
Who owns the domain and hosting. If the domain is in the studio's name, moving your site depends on them. Ask for the domain in your name from day one.
What will you pay after launch?
Building a website is a one-off cost, but every website also has running costs. Ask about them before you order, so you compare the whole amount, not only the first number.
- The domain. Renewed every year.
- Hosting. Paid monthly or yearly, depending on the provider.
- Upkeep. Changes, updates and fixes after launch. Ask whether there's a monthly fee and exactly what it covers.
With Wonder Works, the first year of domain, hosting and support is in the €500. After that you pay the domain and hosting straight to the provider, in your name, and you owe us no monthly fee to keep the site online.
What should you ask any studio before you order a website?
These eight questions let you compare any website quote yourself, ours included:
What exactly does the price include?
Ask for a list, line by line: design, number of pages, copy, photos, languages, domain, hosting, support. Anything not on the list, assume it isn't included.
Whose name will the domain be in?
The answer should be: yours. The same goes for the hosting and the logins to everything.
What does "SEO" mean in this quote?
Titles and descriptions on every page, a sitemap, schema markup? Or just the word? Ask for the list.
Will the site be in Google Search Console, and will I have access?
Without Search Console you can't see whether Google finds your site, or which searches it shows up for.
Will my Google Business Profile be set up?
The name, address and phone on the profile should match the site, with the website link in place.
How fast will the site be?
Ask for a site that passes Google's Core Web Vitals, and check it yourself with PageSpeed Insights after launch.
What will I pay after the first year?
Domain, hosting, upkeep: ask for the second year's total, not only the first.
What happens after launch?
Who makes changes, how quickly and for what fee. And what you get if you ever move: the code, the copy, the photos and the logins.
